Across the lines

Says Tracy Chapman…good song that is on right now, about the dream of bridging racial divisions in the US. Tracy’s got a really nice voice that is simply unmistakeable…and very mellow. Anyway, so this past month I’ve had to face a serious set of decisions about my phd program. I had to own up to the fact that I’ve not been satisfied with what I’ve been doing so far. I’ve finished 7months, and the main result is just a clearer knowledge of where I want to go, and what does not seem to fit. This is all part of the journey, no doubt.

My thesis on adaptive software is in a transition right now. I may leave the current group in Trento in search of another research lab that is a better fit for what I’m doing, where I can really be able to get some traction on this problem. It’s involved alot of political posturing so far, but there is a chance I’ll be transitioning sometime soon. Anyway, will keep you posted.

In the meantime I’ve been working on a survey on the field, and papers on ethics in the e-Society, and of course some facebook, tennis, gametrailers, juggling, taichi standing, Tolkien stories, Asimov robot tales, Marion Zimmer Bradley books, a touch of poetry, and of course, Achaea! I want to get into some arts soon. :) anyways…Cheers blog world. Dream big, and fear not…ACTION!
